Acoustic renditions of some new songs, along with classic & traditional songs designed to entertain the young, and the young at heart. The renditions provide the framework for some of the finest musicians I have known to join in and add their magic.

A number of years ago, I was encouraged by my grown children to record a collection of songs for my grandchildren to enjoy. It was to be a family affair, as I did get my elder son and daughter, to lend their talents. My son plays acoustic lead guitar on "I Can Call Him Roy" and "Two Little Boys," and Banjo on "The Rainbow Connection." My daughter, Ava, sings harmony on "Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds," "Write'm Cowboy," and "I Can Call Him Roy." Also my eldest granddaughter starts off Twinkle Twinkle Little Star by way of a recording made when she was 6 years old. Her violin track was transposed to increase the temp she was playing and was playing with the band through the first verse and chorus and comes in back in on the last verse. That was fun, and she was playing in tune. We chose some songs, not so much in regards to age appropriateness, but thinking young minds would someday grow to appreciate all of the recordings. Young listeners were expected to fall asleep after Twinkle Twinkle. I was recording this project around 2011-2012. That was around the time that I was able to reconnect with an old bandmate who played on my early records. After 20 years, I got the “band back together,” in a sense. Child's Pay is all grown up now, and carefully mixed. Who Knows? It may be just what the Doctor ordered. It has been a blast putting all the parts together for everyone to enjoy. I hope it brings back memories and sparks new ones.
